Module 18
Unit 18: The Genitive Construction Authority
Mastering possession via tonal shifts, vowel lengthening, and the -ti relative markers.
Unit 18: Advanced Genitive Mechanics
The genitive (possessive) is formed through complex phonological shifts and optional markers.
Tonal & Vowel Lengthening
The primary method is applying a high tone and lengthening the final vowel of the possessor: Mana namaa. (A man's house.)
Relative Markers (Kan/Tan)
For additional emphasis, kan (masc) or tan (fem) can precede the possessor: Manni kun kan isaati. (This house is his.)
